Taking care of your Family from Diabetes with Sanofi’s #PanataNgPamilya #PanatangSanofi

One thing that the pandemic has made me realize is that we need to take care of our health. Not just making sure that you don’t get infected with Covid-19. But also taking care of ourselves in every other angle. Making sure our family eats healthy food. That we got to exercise. That we manage the intake of sweets and other substances that are not good for the body in excesses.

My husband’s family has a history of diabetes. My mother in law has diabetes. And if I remember properly, my brother was also diagnosed pre diabetes years ago. And that makes me worried for my kids and they might also be predisposed to diabetes. What can I do as a mother? Well, everything that I can, besides the things that I have mentioned already, making sure that I know as much as possible as I can about diabetes, how to hopefully prevent it, what to do if someone develops it are some other things that I can do as a mom.

Thankfully, diabetes isn’t as prevalent in my side of the family. But we do have other problems of our own, which I won’t mention anymore.  But, I still have 3 sons that are almost not moving at all on a daily basis since they are now doing online schooling. Best I can do now is make sure they eat healthy and still get to exercise despite the limitations that we are all under now.

There are also a lot of support groups and companies that are doing their share to help educate people about diabetes and help people get the right care and medicine they need. Just like what Sanofi is doing with their #PanataNgPamilya #PanatangSanofi. Make sure to visit  https://www.sanofi.ph/ and read about what they can do to help and what programs they have that aim to educate and help people about diabetes.

Don’t be scared if you are diagnosed with Diabetes. You can still live a normal life as long as you follow your doctor’s advice.
