Hi Guys, how are you? Sorry it took a long time to post again here. I want to share my thoughts on how to properly share and invite friends to like your facebook page or a facebook page.
Why? For the last few weeks I’ve been getting invites from friends to like things on facebook, and some of the ways a couple of friends did it was a bit irksome or for me unprofessional ( Well, this are my thoughts only.
Getting people to like your facebook page can be done a lot of ways properly. Before we talk about that, let’s talk about what not to do when sending invites.
1. Do not send a group message to all your friends or majority of your friends , people who do not actually even know each other or share anything in common except that you are friends with them. Why? for one – this is somewhat tacky as those people actually dont know each other. secondly, I’ve been included in this kind of group messages and almost always they are weirdos that would start messaging the other people out of the blue for networking, selling or even asking them out for dates.
If you want to send group messages like this – please do make sure to do it in batches where people know each other or at the very least share an interest or group.
2. When and If you do send group messages for people to like a page or a picture, Please do take the time to share the link in the message, please do not ask people to search for your specific page then like it.. That’s just too much hassle.
3. Please do not send this kind of group message in odd hours like early in the morning or late at night, why? if people start chatting on the thread that is very disturbing for someone who is asleep or doing something else and is still logged in on their pc,tablet or mobile phone, And yes there are people that leave their gadgets logged in and on.. And dont say its their problem, remember you were the one that initiated the contact.
1. Go to the facebook page and send invites directly from there.
2. Post a shout out on your timeline inviting friends to like the page, please do include the link already so its not too much of a hassle.
3. You can send individual messages or private messages to your friends -but be careful, Facebook will block you if you send to many in one day.
